CarVault Pro is a vehicle maintenance and record keeping app. We collect personal information to create accounts, sync vehicle records, send reminders, provide support, manage subscriptions, and keep the service secure.

In this Policy, "CarVault Pro", "we", "us", and "our" mean the operator of CarVault Pro. "You" means the person using the app or visiting our websites.

Account information

We may collect your name, email address, account ID, authentication provider, profile photo, email verification status, and sign-in details needed to run your account.

Vehicle and maintenance information

We collect the vehicle details, mileage, maintenance records, reminders, notes, photos, receipts, and other content you choose to add to CarVault Pro.

Support and privacy requests

If you contact support or submit a privacy request, we collect the information needed to respond, such as your account ID, email, request type, message, and timestamps.

Subscription information

If you purchase a subscription, we may receive purchase status, product identifiers, renewal status, entitlement status, app store information, and related transaction metadata. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

Device, app, and diagnostics information

We may collect device type, operating system, app version, notification tokens, usage diagnostics, crash logs, and technical data needed to keep the app secure and reliable.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• Create, authenticate, secure, and manage user accounts.
• Store and sync vehicle records, receipts, reminders, and preferences.
• Send service reminders, push notifications, email updates, and account messages.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers and partners that help us operate CarVault Pro, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

• Cloud hosting, database, authentication, and messaging providers such as Firebase or Google Cloud.
• Sign-in providers such as Apple and Google when you choose those sign-in methods.
• Subscription and app store providers such as Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
• Analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, and security tools used to maintain the app.
• Professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, or courts when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety.

5. UK Users

If UK data protection law applies, our legal bases may include:

• Contract: to provide the app, account, reminders, support, and subscription features.
• Legitimate interests: to secure, debug, improve, and protect CarVault Pro.

CarVault Pro does not currently sell personal information. If we add advertising, data sale, or cross-context behavioral advertising in the future, we will update this Policy and provide required choices.

You can manage several privacy choices directly in the app:

• Turn personalized tips on or off in Privacy settings.
• Turn usage diagnostics on or off in Privacy settings where available.
• Control push notifications through app settings or device settings.
• Request a data export from the Privacy settings screen.
• Request account deletion from the Privacy settings screen.
• Contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, portability, or other privacy rights.

8. Retention and Deletion

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms.

When you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal information unless we need to keep limited records for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or dispute resolution reasons.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No internet or cloud service can be guaranteed completely secure, so you should keep your account credentials private and use secure devices.

10. International Transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate legal mechanisms to protect international transfers of personal information.

CarVault Pro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
